They are both always trying to eat grass, leaves and whatever else is non-edible. We have a lawn care service who comes out and fertilizes and puts down weed killer, but we don't allow them on the side of the house where the dogs go. Other than pulling the mushrooms out, is there a way to naturally kill them so they don't grow back?
There will always be spores that are as tough as tanks to kill, so there is no permanent way to rid your yard of mushrooms without spraying it all the time with fungicide (which might be toxic to Yorkies in its own right). The best thing to do is to remain vigilant. They usually come up overnight, so just do a quick sweep of your yard each morning before you let your dog out.
