This thread has been reported and I wrote a long post to address this, and then decided I'd just give the short version:
1) A well meaning member was handled a bit too harshly, and there is no way around that fact; when she tried to explain herself, she was harshly treated again.
2) People who are threadjacking are accusing each other of threadjacking...the point? Just let the off topic issue be resolved; there is no need to attempt to figure out who is threadjacking the most
.
3) We need to let people express themselves without them being accused of being policers of the forum. It's derogatory and it's just not at all productive.
Please let others have an opinion just as you're given the chance to have yours and to respond back.
We all know that passions can run high here, but my gosh, the *anger* on this thread is just
not commensurate to any issue at hand here. We have got to better control our anger and our lashing out - bc it's so incredibly hurtful and destructive. I don't think any of us wants hurt and destruction...do we? I doubt it.
Let's *PLEASE* try to do better...to give our full-on opinions without being so turned up that we end up hurting other human beings. It's
important that this section in particular remains calm and neutral - while being informative, helpful, and supportive. It's okay to correct each other - that's not in debate here - but let's please try to do it kindly and with some careful tact. That's not asking a whole lot...and I know it'd be appreciated by all
