Oh boy this seems to be such an emotionally charged issue, that I am not sure exactly what to say.
Please don't feel that your pup and you as a person are being judged as being bad.
Well at least I don't think or feel that.
How-ever, ideally the breed as per our Standards should be bred ideally to produce pups as adults that grow to let us say 5 to 7 lb range, and as the YTCA has stated no female under 5lbs should be bred.
Why is that do you think? No female under 5lbs should be bred? The serious risk to her life? Certainly not justified by trying to breed dogs that will produce dogs under 5lbs.
They the YTCA put out this recommendation for very valid reasons.
