Default my knee is shot

last year I had my right knee scoped for a meniscus tear. At the time the doc said other than that the knee looked good, not much cartilage loss. Well ever since my March ski trip the knee has been killing me, constant pain, especially trying to kneel down and going down stairs, I can't believe how much it has changed how I do things. I am 57 and when I get up from sitting or squatting down I am pulling myself up with my arms and all bent over like an old person. I need to go up and down my stairs like 20 times a day and now do that differently I went to the doctor yesterday and the x ray showed on the outside part of my knee there is NO cartilage at all so bone on bone. Even the doctor said he was surprised at the rapid change.

So at the moment he has giving me a prescription for an arthritis type drug, physical therapy so I know what exercises are good and what are bad, and he is contacting my insurance company for them to authorize a shot of rooster comb in my knee, has anyone had that, does the shot hurt. I have gotten cortisone shots in my hand and those were always so painful.

Funny the things they come up with, but research has led to findings that the comb from a rooster can be used to manufacture a solution that can be used as a temp replacement for cartilage loss. In the near future maybe a year or so I would not be surprised to be getting a knee replacement, LOL maybe it will be my 60th birthday present to myself
