Hi and welcome! We are a passionate bunch of Yorkie people who work to educate other members or friends. The first thing is..there is no such thing as teacup or standard Yorkies. Only one standard for anything but they are toys and weigh to 7 pounds. Since there is NO guideline for any other size, any breeder can sell anything and call it by any name and take good money out of the pockets of an uneducated buyer. I would suggest you look at the AKC standards for Yorkies; look on sites that have info about the pros and cons of Yorkies and their ownership. Learn the genetic problems they are prone to. Read lots of posts on this and other forums and you will learn of the problems we all have had.
I can say for sure, you will not find a healthy tiny Yorkie in your price range. Why do you want such a small Yorkie? The smaller ones run around $2000.00 and up! In the rare instance you see one for that price, your first question should "What is the problem(s) with this baby?"
I would suggest you take your time and learn all you can about the breed and breeders and save some more so you can have a wider range of selections. If you have questions that we on this forum can help with, feel free to PM me or someone else who breeds and has long-time experience.. |
