The shaking could be a sign of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar, which is common in young Yorkie puppies)--that's probably why the vet recommended nutri-cal. My Bella doesn't like the taste of nutri-cal, so when she had episodes of hypoglycemia when she was a young puppy, I put a little karo syrup on my finger and rubbed it on her gums--she improved within 15 minutes to half an hour. Hypoglycemia is life-threatening and has to be treated right away. If you have any doubts whatsoever, take your puppy to the vet. Others in this thread have addressed the coughing issue...
