The second is Fructooligosaccharide. It is also a sugar alternative. Fructo-oligosaccharides seem to be safe when taken in less than 30 grams per day. They can cause intestinal gas (flatulence), intestinal noises, bloating, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. These effects are usually mild if the dose is less than 10 grams per day.
Special Precautions & Warnings: Pregnancy and breast-feeding: Not enough is known about the use of fructo-oligosaccharides during pregnancy and breast-feeding. Stay on the safe side and avoid use.

Everyone has a personal opinion on the foods they give their dogs.
Inulin is the fiber in chicory root. Most foods have this and its meant to feed the good bacteria in your dogs body. Your dog cannot digest it. Fructooligosaccharides is a pre-biotic, meant for your dogs natural flora. Your dog can't digest it. Again this is a very common ingredient in dog foods. It is just a starch from fruit meant to feed your dog's good bacteria.

Some foods might list it differently but both ingredients are extremely common in foods. Keep in mind the label is a translation from Italian on the website.

Neither are sugar alternatives.
