Thanks everyone! Adopting from a shelter is my plan for sure. I'm a little worried because I contacted the organization that I'd like to adopt from with questions and well..the lady and I got into an argument because she was being really rude! So I hope that doesn't count against me, because believe me, I'm ready to give a dog the best life any dog could ask for. I'm actually looking to adopt a pup that's at least a year old. But a puppy could be nice too. My two biggest concerns are potty training and how well my future pup will do when I need to leave home. But I guess those are things I'll have to discuss with the adoption organization.
