Please, Please, make sure your babies are not there when they spray. When my children were home they had a Peruvian guinea pig. It was a little long hair guinea pig that looked like a little dust mop. I had the exterminator come and spray and specifically asked him if it would harm our little pet. He assured me it wouldn't. He came while I was at work and when I got home the guinea pig was dead. I called the exterminator and he assured me it died of something else. I told him not to come back even tho we had a contract for a spraying monthly for a year. We got another guinea pig and he came and sprayed again and killed it even though I had told him not to come back. (We live in a small town and my house was never locked) I called the State agency responsible for licensing the exterminators and turned them in. They did come and investigate.
The moral of the story, DO NOT believe them when they tell you it is not harmful to pets. It may not be for the bigger ones but it could be for our little Yorkies. |
