Default update on Deever-still truckin

My husband and I finally made the trip to the vet last week after deciding to have our little guy put down because he began screaming after a seizure. We just assumed it was pain, but the vet said no, it's neurological, and we should take him home. Can't tell you the joy we felt after blubbering all the way there. And I had been so angry at myself because a few months back, after a bath, he shook off and then fainted and began crying like that. It's a horrible yelp. really loud, and followed by going completely limp. I thought it was my fault that he hurt himself when he fell over. I hate bathing him now but he's in diapers now and vet said very important to keep him clean to avoid any infections. Last week, same thing, shook off after his bath, and this time I caught him when he fainted, and very gently put him on his side. He started sceaming for 30 seconds or so anyway. This may sound crazy, but I'm actually relieved that he's not in pain and when these happen again, I won't be as scared. I just hold him and talk softly to him and within 15 minutes he's better. So sad that we can't let him just be a dog because we're so paranoid of him fainting and hurting himself. Dogs really put humans to shame. I'm going to let him do what he wants from now on. Unfortunately, he's not eating again, but he has sprung back so many times this year, I'm so hoping he'll be back to his awesome self in a few days. Just like kids. After the visit to the pediatrician, they get sick.
