The certificate was printed sideways, and I wanted to make sure all of you could read what it says.

Wisdom Panel Professional certifies that: While Wisdom Panel professional is not designed as a purebred test our results indicate that the recent ancestry of Minnie only includes Yorkshire Terrier, June 5 2013.
Statement of Authenticity.
This certifies the authenticity of Minnie’s canine genetic background determined following careful analysis of more than 300 genetic markers using Wisdom Panel Professional. The purebred breed signature matches included in this analysis are those that were detected in the last three generations of Minnie’s ancestry using the proprietary breed detection algorithm at Mars Veterinary.

The first important point is that the test is not designed as a purebred test. Second point is they are only talking about the last 3 generations, and for most dog enthusiasts, this is way too limited.
As I stated earlier, this test measures against previous results. It’s considered one of the weakest forms of testing there is, however as they get a get a wider base, closer to 100 thousand or a million, the results will be much more dependable. With only 10,000 dogs in the sample, the results just aren’t that accurate in my opinion, since the genetic code of dogs is just so varied.
