I love my vet but he also insisted that Sadie stay overnight with no one there. His reasoning was that she needed to stay quiet and she would be more likely to get excited and overdo if she was with me. Our compromise was that he let me pick her up and transfer to the emergency vet where she would be observed overnight. Then we picked her up and brought her back in the morning. Could you do something like that?
