Tell her want to pick her up that evening...how many hours drive are you having to make following the procedure??? I would not be leaving my dog overnight, unattended and unmonitored. Unless you are looking at a several hour trip home following the procedure, I wouldnt leave her....it isnt like you are making her WALK home....take your baby home and bring her back in the next morning for exam.....it is not uncommon at all for the baby to go home following the spay/neuter....it is MORE uncommon for the doc to insist they remain overnight....???
