I put potty pads inside of a litter box (helped from "run off" if they miss). I used a crate to have him sleep in at night then first thing in the morning I would take him to the box and make him stay in there until he went. As soon as he started to go I said "good puppy" and when he was done I had treats near by to give him one. I would also feed him on a schedule, so if your feeding at 8 every morning you know about 8:20 they will probably have to go. I left just a bit of food out all day incase he starting feeling low blood sugar but that didn't seem to affect bathroom habits. Watch them for sniffing and circling, then run them to their pad asap. If they go even go a little bit where they are supposed to give treats and praise- hang in there!
