Great News! Having visited the Vet Hospital at Glasgow University and had an ultrasound, it appears the Haggis does have a prostate problem however it is not a tumor and there are no signs of growths anywhere!!!
The vet now believes the problem can be managed medically with a number of drugs which will reduce the prostate and allow him to return to normality. The shot he was given last week appears to be working as he is now pooping little and often, a good sign.
The "wee man" hasn't had his troubles to seek in his 12 years (he has in addition a heart murmur, collapsed trachea, colitis,..... and takes a handful of tablets twice per day in addition to an aerodawg inhaler!) however you wouldn't suspect any of this as he has a fantastic nature and loves everyone except the postman! Lets hope he gets a period without issues.
Many thanks to everyone who wished him well, I will update on his progress.
