I made DH put up a fence and enough spotlights in our yard to make it look like Fenway Park! LOL But to MY defense... we actually DID have a coyote IN our yard! Right up against the house. So I think my fears were warranted!

Now 2 people have to take the dogs out every night together. One goes out to look around and make sure it's safe and no noise in the woods. Then the other lets them out and comes out and we both keep guard. (mind you this is a completely fenced in yard!) LOL I would be committed to the looney bin if I lost my dog(s) to a coyote. The thought of them in pain or torn apart, when all they have known is soft hands and kindness their whole lives brings tear to my eyes to even think about it!
