I still am a bit of a worrier, really ... Everytime I go out with my husband I have to ask: "Did we close the door tightly enough? Did we lock it? Maybe we should go back and check ..." It drives him up the wall! You care for them like they are your own children. It's so much different -- even if you used to have a dog or dog(s) with your parents. Once you realize you are this baby's caretaker and they depend on you ... I think that you develop a stronger, more parental bond with them. At least that has been my experience.

I'll tell you one thing ... Your life will be changed forever once you have a bond so strong with your dog. You won't be able to imagine life without your furry sidekick! It's tough at times, and of course it is a lot of responsibility, but it is so rewarding. You get to live with your best friend, and they don't talk back to you (much )! Ha ha! All joking aside, you will be fine. You don't have to tackle this alone either -- all of us at YorkieTalk are here for advice and to cheer you on!
Thank you. You are awesome
