How old are you, do you live alone, do you go out a lot, how much time are you home, if you are not home much now, are you willing to stay home more. do you have extra disposal income to take care of vet bills, are you secure in your job, do you have friends and family to help you out if the need arises. All these things and more need to be thought about. Personally 30 years ago I was in my late 20's when I got my first yorkie, I don't think I had any reservations and was SO ready to make lifestyle changes, but only a year or two earlier I would not have been ready. Good luck with your choice.

These are questions that you need to seriously consider before you get your baby. There have been several young ladies that thought they wanted a Yorkie, but then, they VERY quickly came to realize there was no more spontaneously jumping up and going with friends...you have a little dog to think about....no more running off to the beach for a long weekend, without thinking about what you are going to do with the puppy....these young ladies became so disenchanted with the wonderment of being a yorkie momma, and they became resentful of the poor little soul. Dont do that...if you know in your heart that you are going to resent the puppy curtailing your comings and goings, put off getting a puppy....baby doesnt deserve that!
