About the MARS test (Wisdom Panel), I do have to give them credit for continually improving its accuracy by testing more purebred dogs and adding the information to their database, so their accuracy is improving. It's not perfect, but it's the best test out there for this purpose. The test is used not only for determining the breeds in a mixed breed dog, but also for determining the purity of a purebred. The results are not accepted by the AKC as proof of purity though, because the test is NOT perfect. It will get better though as more certified purebred dogs are added to their database.
