Oh my, I can totally relate I had my first kidney stone in 1999 when I was 18, and I had to have surgery to remove it because it was too big to pass. I was in the ER and hospital for 2weeks on and off. I feel so bad for you. Did they give you hydrocodone? That kind of helps depending on your pain.

Just recently at 24 I had another. Painful, but also caused constant bleeding in my urine!!!! I was referred to a kidney specialist and they put me on potassium citrate. You might want to look into that since you are so young to be having these like me. I am what the doctors call a "stone former" so it doesn't matter what changes I make to my diet, I will always have an inbalance in PH levels causing the stones to form. Also, I always drink tons of water before I ever started this stone stuff.
