Me, too!

The only thing I find a bit sort-of odd about the programme, is the way they make out the re-homing process to be....

They make it look like you just bowl up there with a lead, and take away whatever dog takes your fancy....it really isn't like that at all! There are really, really strict criteria (and rightly so!).

For instance, a friend of my daughter's mother wanted to adopt from Battersea - she is house-bound, but has a garden. In her late 40's, a lovely lady. She got as far as choosing the dog she wanted, had the home visit, and they declined her!!!

Apparently the dog needed to 'go out for walks, a garden isn't enough', and that was that!!

So what did she do? Well, of course she went and bought a puppy from a breeder....isn't that nuts, when she could have given such a wonderful life to a little stray?!!?

Don't know whether you've looked at their website www.battersea.org.uk but there's a little girl Yorkie called Cassie on there at the moment....!!!! Sally x
