Default Routine vitals...

So the LS thread got me thinking, it seems a good amount of us get blood work done regularly so when something goes a miss we can catch it fairly quickly.

What if we did vitals on a regular basis as well? You normally only see your vet once or twice a year where they check the vitals.

Do you think we could detect disease sooner by regularly checking their temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate? Say you go to your vet every 6 months, a lot can happen in that amount of time. What if in between that 6 months you are regularly checking their vitals and find something to be consistently off. Perhaps you could be detecting a serious disease or problem sooner?

Any thoughts?
