I just took a look at some of Joey's photos, and the photo with the short hair on the body and the long flowing hair on the legs is the look I'm trying to try to get for Bella, now that she's losing her puppy coat. I didn't realize there were so many differences between Yorkies in coat color! Now that her adult coat is coming in, I need to take another look at the coat color thread... |
Ha ha, yes she looks like a little scamp! Well, there's a dark blue that has the metallic shine to it and a light blue that has the metallic shine. The good news is that coats with the metallic shine are more likely to be silky coats and silky coat is so much easier to care for. If they are pure black, they often have more of a cotton coat, but some say they have seen pure black silk coats. Oh I just remembered this site, it talks about the Eye shine and silky coats. You’ll have no problem understanding it! I think the 2 progressive graying genes are responsible for how light or dark blue they are.
