The only way I have found is to quickly distract them with something else, a stick..if you outside ..just anything....I did this with Tucker and he rarely barks and if he does you had better look to see what it is because he is trying to tell us something! I think the important thing is to not let them get into the habit! I don't know why he would do that after being spayed, maybe he is just a little nervous! Good Luck!
