Everyone is not alike. Some people who surrender a rescue, are desperate for news, others can't bear to keep in touch, others don't give a darn.
Same with breeders, some have only have a few pups a year and have the time and desire to chat and love letters, emails and photos. Others have been doing it for a very long time and really only need a yearly update, unless there is a problem. Some only are concerned with the here and now puppies and pour all their love and attention into them. Some are like a surrogate mother once they baby has the best forever home they can find, they let go and move on. Other just don't give a darn . Pick the reason you can live with. Just know you are the real mommy.
