I was thinking the same thing.
If a breeder breeds a few times a year and has been breeding for many years, that's alot of pups to keep up on. If every new owner contacted frequently, it could be a little overwhelming.
ZoE's breeder said minimally, she likes pics & update at 6months, and then at each year birthday, thereafter. But, she also said to contact her if there are any health issues whatsoever. ZoE's been really healthy so I've not needed to call her to report any problems, so she's called me a few times to make sure everything is still going well, cos I've been a bit of a slacker with updates
