I really am happy to hear the Minnie is being DNA tested. There is no way in He** that this pup is a purebred Yorkie.
There are so many unethical breeder's who pass their pups off as purebred onto unsuspecting buyers and it just makes me sick. It is so very sad every time a new Yorkie owner/family comes to YT with such joy and excitement to show off their new "Yorkie" puppy and I see the un Yorkie like characteristics in them. Most of these people have waited and waited and have had to save just to afford a Yorkie. And for someone to sell them a mixed pup and tell them they are getting a full blooded Yorkie is just sickening. Responsible, ethical breeders just do not do that. Sure they may look all Yorkie as a pup but it doesn't take long before the other breed start to show and than now what? These unsuspecting victims who had their hearts set on adding a pure breed Yorkie to the family are now stuck with a mixed breed pup that they would be considered heartless if they returned.
I hope Minnie's mommy gets the proof that she needs and yells it from the roof tops, contact the registry and the small claims court about how this breeder sold her a so called pure breed Yorkie. I wish more people would do the same and put a stop to this type of thing happening again and again. If no one speaks up or does anything about when these things happen it will only continue and more and more unsuspecting families will be lied to and heart broken.
If the test come back 100% Yorkie I will admit when I'm wrong and give the breeder an apology but, I don't see that happening.
