I try to stay away from this type of controversy, but decided to post. There are MANY good breeders that take pride in breeding to the Yorkshire terrier standards with the best of their ability. It is all about getting a wonderful representation of the breed. Minnie is not to that standard, but she is a living breathing beautiful little dog who needs as much love as any other.

As far as the dna test, I do think that it should be done if the breeder gave Minnies owner the idea that she was a purebred Yorkie. (now we must remember that the AKC standards are probably not the same as other Kennel club registrations, which is very sad. I believe there are many "clubs" that will register a dog ...... just to say it is "registered")

I just hope that all the controversy doesn't affect the fact that Minnie has a home for life and is taken care of with the utmost love. I do think she should be spayed and her owner consider NOT breeding dogs at this time.

The breeder, too, could use a good education on the Yorkie breed.

This is MY OPINION, and I know..... they are like ******** , everyone has one.
