She already SAID that she knows the best thing is for the puppy to be taken to the vet, but it's not going to happen. Help her out with some constructive advice, or don't say anything at all. Here is my 2 cents: Keep the puppy warm and hydrated. A little Nutrical is fine, but the puppy will have to have some equivalent of it's mother's milk, which contains the proper balance of protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals. Unfortunately, I don't know a good substitute because I'm not an expert in puppy pediatrics, and my heart bleeds for that puppy because people are not giving any practical advice. The name of this forum is Sick and Injured/Emergencies Talk, and it's sad that people are trolling this thread with snarky, self-righteous comments.
If it were me in this situation, I would plead with the relative to release the puppy into my care and take it to the 24 hour vet emergency clinic in my town, because like I said, I'm not an expert. Whatever happens, please let us know. |
Excuse ME!!! I GAVE her advice......they have NO idea how to tube feed a baby, they have no idea what to be feeding the baby..they choose not to take it, so exactly whose fault is THAT?????????? Next, I would NEVER be caught in this situation because if there was no vet around for hundreds of miles, if I did not have a working knowledge of how to breed dogs and take care of orphaned/struggling pups, I WOULDNT BE BREEDING...NOT THE FIRST TIME AND NOT THE SECOND TIME AGAIN!!!!....and, oh by the way, NO ONE, including YOU, except the ADM or a moderator, can tell another member what to say and what not to say, when to post and when not to post., and when to keep their mouth shut!!! Rather than attacking another member, YOU need to concentrate on following your OWN advice and directing your comments strictly to the person you are trying to help. Dont be turning your caustic, beligerant, holier-than-thou, kinder-gentler attitude on another member. Do not be trying to monitor this forum and set the rules and regulations for what can and can not be said, and by whom!!!!!!!!!!! Define YOUR word, "snarky"......NO ONE has said anything "snarky"....just because YOU dont like what has been said, does not make valid advice "snarky". Perhaps "snarky" is getting advice and not taking it!
