Hi and welcome to YT! If you're looking for information, this is the right place to be. Be sure to check out the "libraries" toward the top of the main pages and you will find answers to a lot of questions you didn't even know you had.

I'm really sorry that you had such a poor experience with your first pup. It is so very sad and tbh, our Princess Sophie would not have made it home from the breeder without Nutrical. She really scared us.

I'm kind of undecided as to whether or not your new pup is 100% Yorkie. I really think only time will tell.

Do you know his date of birth? Knowing that would be of great help. Your vet should be able to approximate age for you and I, along with others, would highly recommend you taking him to the vet asap!!

3 - 5 lbs. seems like a lot for a puppy, but I could be wrong. Hopefully others with more experience than I will be by to offer you better information.

What I can tell you is that Yorkies are all born with black fur. As they grow the color of their hair changes. With this said, I don't think your pup is all that young or maybe if really that young, not 100% yorkie but you already love her so that really doesn't matter does it?

When we brought Princess Sophie home, at 8 weeks (4 weeks earlier than the 12 weeks highly recommended for yorkies), she was barely 2 lbs. Today she is a couple weeks short of being 6 months old and weighs in at a whopping 3 lbs. 13 oz. LOL and she's still mostly black with tan face and legs and getting silver or white/blond on her head. She looks, to us, like she's grown a LOT but really she's just a peanut baby!

I hope you get your answers quickly and that you will update us with what happens at the vet. Again, welcome!!
