There had to be like 20 little black things on his leg. I had never seen anything like it. All very tiny. So I actually did rush to the vet, where they indeed confirmed they were ticks, said he must have ran through a nest or something! Seeing that many all at once kinda spooked me.

But otherwise, they are normal. I saw the first one of the season actually a few days ago - it was huugeee attached to the back leg, closer to his foot. I had given him a bath the night before so I don't know how I missed it or if just got that big in one day. But it seemed dead. It exploded from the tweezers, SO gross. We haven't applied Advantix in over a month, so I'll probably do another dose since I saw one. I refuse to remove ticks myself if I don't have to though - I make my dad do it hahaha.
I make my dad hold a baggy with rubbing alcohol in it to kill the tick, but I have to do the removal because dad's eyesight is not as good, haha.

I'm sure you did freak out when you saw that many ticks on Jackson. Don't ever google pictures of dogs with ticks.

The tick bite on Teddy's knee on his back leg looked ridiculous, like a marble stuck to a pencil. Our vet told me it would take about 2 weeks to go away, and it did.
