Frontline doesn't prevent ticks from getting on the dog. I think it kills them when the tick bites.
I wouldn't use flea & tick shampoo on your little one. Just check her all over for ticks daily. I know that the really small ticks (less than the size of a head of push pin) won't be found until they become engorged.
