Sometimes we give Tigger table scraps, but when we do it's near his dishes after we've eaten to prevent begging. It works out great, He sleeps near our feet and hopes(or dreams rather)that we share some with him. If we don't he's still happy and will jump on our laps and cuddle. I think the most we've given to him at dinner time was steak. He likes it medium rare. I've also given him (during the day) cottage cheese, and Johns given him a small pieces of bacon. We don't encourage it only because some human foods are indeed bad and toxic to dogs. Plus feeding them lots of table scraps can encourage obesity, but that will not always be the case. They're lifestyle comes into play big time. Whatever you decide make sure to research what you can and cannot feed your pet. Best of luck.
