While you may be looking at a small male and a small female, you could have large dogs behind them, and that could really present a problem for your female, giving birth. Dont be deterred by what the vet bill may be to have your female spayed....if she continues with the pregnancy and needs a c-section, etc., you can triple or quadruple what the cost of a spay is. Then next, have your male neutered, to prevent anymore accindental breedings. |

Well first off are you sure you did the measurement correctly? That is the fingers barely brush the inner pelvic bones?
Why would you hate to fix her?
There is a pill that can be given with in the first 48 hours of a mating; it is called a mismatch shot.
Breeding responsibly is a huge undertaking. Time marches on. I would hate to see a baby try to give birth to a litter. Do you actually have 2-5 thousand dollars to see this whelp through, and to find good responsible owners? Are you prepared to offer a health guarantee on these mixed breed pups?
What is done can be un-done.
We don't advise lightly to spay a female, but will do so always with the young females interest at heart. Spay her if you are too late for the mismatch shot.
