Whatever she believes, I don't think she trusted her attorneys and I see why. They are getting a lot of skewering for their lackluster performance and aren't top legal minds, it's true.
I have long thought Arias probably wants the drama of Death Row and the ultimate death scene with reporters covering her every move if she couldn't win outright and walk away. But the death penalty on this case? I don't see it unless this jury is very different from our general culture today. There will be one or two holdouts who don't want the responsibility of sending her to death for one reason or another or just morally oppose it when it comes time to vote "Death".
