If you look at the first reply to give up the pup, its not the idea of it so much as the TONE. It made it sound as though this guy is negligent. I, too would have been offended by the tone. Sometimes I think in the rush to get the pups or dogs treatment some on here forget the person behind it would not be on here if they weren't trying to help their dogs.
How about saying instead:.
"gosh Im so sorry your in this position" I know you must be desparate to get your pup some help or you wouldn't be on here. I'm sorry for your situation but maybe if taking your dog to the vet is out of reach for you right now you might want to think of placing the pup with rescue that can help the little guy. We can give you some names if your interested.
Don't you think saying that would have a better result than what was said? Maybe this guy had the reserves when the dog got preg, but he just lost his job? I just think you get more with being kind about a situation than running them off because they were made to feel bad. Just a thought... |
