Confused False Alarm!

I think Turbo has colitis. I saw a speck of bright red blood on his stool last night. Surely, a reaction to sentinel will not make him have classic colitis poopie? (urgency to go & frequently, mucus-y poopie TMI!) I think the visit to the vet to have the HW antigen test really stressed him out. He would be classified as 'high strung' & both Princess & him were shaking like leaves...giving me a massage. Since I have experience w/colitis (Princess), I know colitis symptoms when I see it. Turbo confused me bc I saw no blood, but finally saw it last night.

I checked novartis site & they said stomach upsets can happen, but it's very rare, so they recommend giving sentinel w/a full meal (which I did). If a dog gets upset tummy, the next time they take sentinel, it will be better. So I will try giving him sentinel again next month. Will also be talking to the vet about this later today when I pick up the anti-diarrhea med & drop off his fecal for a test.

Turbo actually had his BATS done along w/thyroid, diabetes tests (requested by me, worrying mom)...he was throwing up a lot of yellow bile & some food even when he didn't have an empty stomach. It all came back fine & it ended up being a pumpkin intolerance. I was giving them fruitables treat b4 bedtime & mid-day snack. I stopped giving him fruitables & pumpkin & he stopped throwing up! That was 2-3 years ago, so it's probably a good thing to redo the BATS, but I am not concerned. He always has nice firm poopies...until now. Sorry this is so long! Will keep you all updated on how he does in the next few days.

Thank you for your well wishes & prayers for Turbo! BTW, how he got his name, when he was a puppy, he would take off running while going #2 & leave poopie trails loll!
