Most couches are not that high. I don't think it would do any damage as long as your pup's knees are strong.
I trained Gracie to play fetch inside. I throw the ball through the living room into the kitchen and she loves it. On days when the weather is bad and she needs some exercise playing fetch inside is a life saver! She needs to run off that excess energy!
I guess I don't know how you play fetch on the couch. Maybe direct the ball in a different direction? When Gracie was about 7 months old she found she could jump up on the furniture. She didn't do it that much at first because she was still pretty small and it was an effort to get up there. Now she only jumps up on the couch if there is a lap there that she wants to occupy. |
