Lola is my fifth small dog and the first one that is allowed free roam of the main level.
I do try to remember to close my powder room door since she has been known to attack the toilet paper, but even that has been a long time. However I work from home so I normally am not out for more that about 5 hours at a time. If you have a chewer or a climber it is tuff, because if she wanted to, Lola could get up on end tables or chew up cords, but I am lucky she seems to have no interest, I don't even think if I spilled pills on the floor she would eat them, but those are all the things you need to think of before letting a dog have free access to the house. You best bet is to try it for short periods
