We had a mini Schnauzer (Gretel), whose absolute favorite toy was a stuffed lamb we all called Lamiepie. This was one of her very first toys and after about eight years, Lamiepie no longer had a working squeakier, it also had very little plush on it. We actually went to the store, not expecting to even see this same toy for sale, but did find it. We brought it home, washed it with other things so it smelled like us and when playing with her in the evening, switched (behind my back) one Lamiepie for the newer one. When she saw it, she stopped cold and backed up, sat down and looked at me with eyes that said, "What do you think you're doing, give me back MY Lamiepie". I laughed for an hour. No way we could fool her, she had her Lamiepie, didn't care at all what it looked like and that was that. They do have their favorites! LOL |
OMG We will be in serious trouble!! His bone actually is finally getting a hole in it too!! Right on the corner. I need to send it to Cathy ( 107barney) and have her make him a new one.. or something LOL Thankfully he doesn’t chew it to tear it, he just nibbles on it.. But the bone is 6 years old LOL so its only a matter of time before it goes to bone heaven! I think if we tried the switcharoo ( however you spell it LOL) he would deny it like Gretel!!
