Ok, I'm trying the update again, so I apologize if it posts twice. We keep Laci and the babies in the bedroom with us with the door shut. Laci and baby daddy Bentley usually stay in the kitchen with a baby gate keeping them from getting in the living room, just because Bentley can't keep his urine to himself.

So he is in there and she is in here with me. The basket she had moved them to was beside my side of the bed, so I think she was just wanting to be closer to me. The original whelping box I had set up was her kennel with a big towel over the top, but that didn't work because the little bits kept squirming halfway through the bars. I put them in an old cat bed since mom wasn't wanting to be around them at first. My step dad made me the cutest little box for them that they are in now, he cut and taped it up to look like a little house! I'll try to get a picture of it on here soon. Its bigger than the basket so she has more room to move around.
Laci has been doing so good, she doesn't even want to leave them. I have to physically remove her from the box to take her outside to do her business. She keeps going back to the door as soon as I put her down on the grass, so I have to make her walk around a little bit before she realizes what I want her to do. As soon as she is done she runs up to me and looks at me as if she's saying "lets go!" She kept trying to get under the bedroom door yesterday when I was removing her IV. The vet had left it in overnight just in case we had to come back and get fluids.
As for my elective c-section decision, maybe I jumped the gun, but I wanted to keep her as safe as possible. She had went a week over her due date, so I took her to the vet for a checkup and he gave me that option. He said he couldn't say for sure if she would have difficulty but that they felt like they were good size and that she had plenty in there. I didn't want to take a chance on me sleeping through the birth and she get into trouble and me not know. So, to ease my mind and keep her safe, I went ahead with it. Turns out, it was a good decision, one of the smaller ones was folded up at the beginning of her birth canal, so he would have been turned in a weird way and we would have probably had one anyway.
The smallest one was 2.7 oz and the largest was 5.3 oz. Mom is 8 lbs and dad is 5. They are all gaining weight and doing great!
We had 3 boys and 3 girls!
