I think everyone has the right to raise their dogs as they feel comfortable. As long as they are not abusing their animals it is a personal choice. there will be some who protect their dogs from EVERY danger but still fall victim to something random. If you have a clear conscience and feel you are doing whats best for your dogs thats all that should matter and be respected by everyone.
