They were sooooo cute! To see those tiny dogs, hoping up rocks and running down trails, tails wagging just LOVING it! People were stopping to pet them and could not believe they did the whole thing, esp when I told them what trail we took up (there is an easier one and a harder one and we took the harder one). DH didn't want me to take them because he thought they wouldn't be able to do it and since he never did it before he thought he'd have to do it carrying a dog, but no way! He was so impressed with them! At the end there was a stream, and Fletch didn't want to get out of it (my dogs swim in our pool all summer, all the time, so they love water) he was walking in that stream, drinking, walking, standing still. It was so funny! He was cooling down!

They actually were fine the rest of the day also, I let them out to pee at home and they ran around the yard, it was like the hike didn't even phase them.

Dexter was so funny too, he probably did the hike 1.5x because he would be ahead with the guys, but he would turn around and come back to me, then go ahead again then turn around again. But by near the end, he didn't come back for me, but he sat and waited on the trail for me to catch up before going ahead with the guys again. LOL

I was a little disappointed in myself because I was MUCH slower than the guys. Oh well... we plan to do it multiple more times so I'm sure I'll get better at it. I had fun though, it was hard (in my opinion)!
