Default Small Dogs Outside Alone

Another tragedy I've heard about nearby my home. I feel like the overprotective Mom of the neighborhood, but I am outraged about what happened to this dog that found a small spot in the fence "that wasn't there yesterday" and poor thing ran in front of car doing 30mph. on the street, the yelping and screaming from a block away sent me in my bare feet running, I've just finished washing the freaking blood off my hands so here I go:

Dear People,
Backyards are not safe for little dogs, doggie doors are not safe for little dogs to go in and out of either, I'm sorry they just aren't...disagree all you want but I warn you they are not safe.

Backyards are natural habitats and change daily, the fence you have up protecting your yard may be sound, but rabbits, raccoons, fox, squirrels live there too, they dig, they can and do dig holes that your small dog may just find and get out of....and die because of.

The other wildlife that can and do get in to your yards can and do harm small dogs every single freaking day and sometimes lead to death.

Passersby, birds etc., may drop something harmful in your yard and your little dog may and often do, find it and sometimes die from whatever was dropped.

Birds, hawks, crows, eagles etc., may fly over your yard and snatch one of your pups, they do it everyday and it sometimes leads to death. This happens daily too.

Trees, bushes fences poles etc., sometimes change and a sharp object is no place for your small dog to be around and they often are injured because of things like this and sometimes die. This happens daily too.

People, often times people steal, even in the country even if you live in the middle of nowhere, they steal your dog and sometimes you never see them again. Sometimes, utility people, strangers, Jehovah Witness' etc, open your gate and your pup gets out...sometimes they die. This happens daily too.

I can not for the life of me figure out why anyone would/do leave there small dogs outside alone, unattended to let tragedy strike, it often does and it happens daily.

Yes I know tragedy can strike in front of your face as well, but really why do so many gamble with their little dogs, it happens daily and it sometimes leads to death.
