What I do when my husband is deployed is always have something to look foward to. If you just sit at home marking the days off it drives you nuts. At least every month or two give yourself something to look foward to. Like a trip somewhere or have friends or family come and visit you. Instead of being like, "ohh geez, John doesn't get back for another 6 months, what a long time." Instead you'll be like, "I'm so excited, my sister gets here in only 3 weeks." This helped me alot and it made it seem to go by so much faster. Well, along with working 12 hour shifts in the navy with a 1 year old. I hope this helps someone!
