I use a bonded pet sitter who comes to my home and stays the night. She has worked out wonderfully for my gang and I know they like her. When I get home they are certainly happy to see me but within minutes they are back to normal as if I had only gone to the mailbox. When I just had 2 dogs and picked them up from the kennel they were pretty wired for the rest of the day. I also know I am not putting them into a situation (kennel or vets) where they could pick up new diseases.

You might want to check your yellow pages for pet sitters. Some will just come and check on your baby and some will come and spend the night.
