If you don't find a way to get those teeth cleaned you can pretty much bank on other health problems in the future. I would save up over the next couple of months, apply for care credit, borrow from a family member, etc but for the health of your dog it should be done as recommended. You can try brushing - I'd use a very soft child's toothbrush and pet toothpaste. If the gums bleed after three days of brushing, then the dental needs to be scheduled.
