My Jess is long and thin so she always looks thin. She tops out at 5 1/4 lbs. She is now 14 months old.

I too, like you did all the things I probably shouldnt have when she was being finicky. Hand fed, changed the food a million times etc.
She also eats royal canin. it never has recalls that I have heard of so i stick with it. I find she is very scent driven. So when I decided I didnt want to hand feed her (like you wet food is gross) I cooked a boneless skinless chicken breast in spring water, cooled, drained any minimal fat and stored it in ice cube trays. I now take her royal canin, put it in a bowl, microwave a cube and pour it over. Let it cool and soften and leave it out. She inhales it.
Somtimes I had cottage cheese, somtimes chicken sometimes wet food but she will eat it with just the chicken water.
