I was fortunate to have a Jack Russell female for 17 years. She was a barker, she was a great little guard dog. She was a true "go to ground" dog, she would dig out moles in the yard. She did all the normal things that a terrier is born to do. She was a true terrier. That said she was 7 years old when my grandchildren came along. She loved them, they could do anything to her. She loved other dogs, she loved cats, she even loved my bird. She and my Bichon would stand up on their back legs and slap each other with their front legs. They found that to be great fun. So do not believe all the horror stories you hear about Jack Russell Terriers. She was 16 years old when Keno came along and she even liked him and his Yorkie puppy ways. |
