Most all dogs are barkers but it's their job (so they think) to keep their home and family safe from all the bad guys.
However, the little dogs bark about three or four times to a large dogs two barks, so sadly they are called yappers. Mine will bark anytime they hear the UPS truck, a knock or door bell (even if it's on TV) but that's about it. When you get more than one barking at the same time, it's enough to keep those bad guys a bay though, so for that reason only, I hope they never stop "yapping"!
